Nestling amongst the dense green woods of Lever Park, this Victorian replica of a mediaeval castle is truly a bizarre sight, and an exciting find. Erected in 1912 by direction of Lord Leverhulme, it is a recreation of Liverpool Caste as it were when demolished in 1725. Despite not being an authentic castle there's still a sense of magic to the stone walls, and the views across the reservoir were quite spectacular.
