Details
This shot was taken in the last fading moments of the day from Rivington Pike, a western summit on Winter Hill. The weather that day was changeable at best, and the strong winds picked dark clouds from the sky and scurried them south at impossibly high speeds. A momentary crack in the clouds above Chorley revealed the most divine patch of golden sunlight, and after the ascent, was an impressive vista.
